It's been a while.....

I didn't realize it had been so long since I had written! Life has been a little crazy! Bought a house, then had to move (exhausting). Attended and fell apart at a funeral (you never realize how much you bottle up until your bottle breaks). I have learned a lot about letting go lately. By letting go I mean letting go of control. It's always been hard for me to just enjoy the moment. I'm always looking back or forward and sometimes that 's okay. It's okay to look back only to see how far you've come. And it's okay to look forward with excitement for all the life you still have to live. But it's not okay to look back to let your past condemn you, to let your past keep you trapped and it's not okay to look ahead to see how far you still have to go. I've learned how much you miss by not living in the now. By not focusing on all the good things in your life. No matter how hard life is (and I know it can be super hard sometimes) there is always some good to be found. The more you focus on the good the better things get. But the more you focus on the bad, the more bad you will find. When you live in the now and focus on the good things in your life it's amazing how much beauty you will find this crazy life still has. So when you are having a hard time and feel like you have nothing left to give.......give a smile, take a deep breath and look up it' s a beautiful sky and there is a God looking down on you who loves you a whole lot. Go for a walk and look at all the beauty still out there. Smell a flower, give a hug. There are so many ways we can give even when we feel we have nothing left to. And an amazing thing happens, as you give from your desperation it loses it's power over you and before you know it your circumstances, even your feelings and emotions have changed!

Psalm 89:33-35

Hang in there, I promise even though it takes a while (sometimes a long while) it will get better!
