Life Lately....and proofs day!

I've been dealing with a lot of medical stuff lately, so I've been behind on posting or being very active (other than reposting things I find inspirational). So in the midst of all of the scans and tests, I forgot to post about proof day. I love Proof Day. It is the day I get to see all the countless hours I've pushed through pain and sickness to create something come to fruition. It is the day that I can hold something I created in my hands. Each time reminds me that If I just stick to doing what I can, where I am, with what I have things will begin to happen. It's okay if it takes me longer than other people. It's okay if not everyone loves or even likes what I create. It is most important that I see that I can do it. That chronic illness does not define or control me. That it cannot dictate every aspect of what I can or cannot still do. And most importantly that others who are struggling see the power of focusing on what you can still do, instead of being overcome by what you cannot. These pictures are the proofs of things I've been working on for months, I couldn't fit them all (which is a good problem). I am so thankful for every accomplishment, no matter how small or large.

Celebrate every win, even the ones that seem insignificant. That helps give you the hope and the strength you need to make it through the next moment, and the next and the next. Before you know it you will have accomplished more than you could imagine. I hope each step I take helps you find one also.

with more to come. Learning to take the things that helped me and turn them into tools for others besides me.
